Ozemipic face, what to do now?

Ozempic Face and Ozempic Butt are terms used to describe the gaunt, hollow, wrinkly and saggy appearance of the face or buttocks due to rapid loss of volume in these areas during treatment with Ozempic, Wegovy, and Muonjaro, medications used for weight loss and diabetic treatment. These medications are gaining popularity for weight loss, and as a result of rapid and dramatic weight loss, patients lose facial fat causing a hollow face and loose, saggy skin in the jowls, neck, and mid-face. Facial fat is necessary to maintain a youthful appearance in the face as well as a healthy, curved appearance in the buttocks. Fat loss in the buttocks can also leave skin looser and volume depleted, leaving patients with flattened and saggy buttocks. Rapid weight loss also diminishes the facial skin’s ability to retract around the lost volume. Volume loss in the face due to treatment with Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro can cause a gaunt appearance with patients often describing their faces as having diminished cheek volume (hollow, gaunt cheeks), saggy jowls, and gaunt eyes with dark circles beneath them. Skin elasticity is also lost due to Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro; the face looks older and the skin appears stretchier.

At Derm Clinic M.D., we specialize in treating the Ozempic face and Ozempic buttocks (Wegovy face or Mounjaro face are also used to describe the aged face due to weight loss medications). We use a variety of methods to refill the face and buttocks (not all candidates will be eligible for non-surgical buttocks enhancement) naturally, either through hyaluronic acid treatments or bio-regenerative collagen generating treatments to refill lost volume with patients’ own collagen, or through non-surgical skin tightening treatments.

Dr. Arshia Payman is a skincare aesthetic specialist who has injected thousands of patients to help patients appear more youthful, refreshed and re-volumized. Her specialty is in re-contouring the facial features emphasizing the natural contours of the face, and re-volumizing the hollow face with a fuller, more youthful natural volume.

Weight loss in some patients can be very beneficial in preventing diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and many other life-altering chronic conditions. Weight loss doesn’t have to end with a hollow gaunt face. Through proper non-surgical interventions, Dr. Payman will provide patients in Atlanta, Cumming, Alpharetta, Roswell, Milton, Brookhaven, Midtown, Buckhead, Georgia with a comprehensive treatment plan to rejuvenate the gaunt face, and will use skin tightening and filling treatments to refill the loose skin due to Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro.
