What is a physician-led med spa?
A physician-led med spa is a cosmetic clinic where a licensed physician owns or directs the medical care. At Derm Clinic MD, that physician is Arshia Payman, MD. Botox, dermal fillers and chemical peels are medical procedures, so who plans and oversees them matters as much as the product. Read: what a med spa is, and when to see a dermatologist instead.
What happens at a first consultation?
Expect to go over your health history, medications and goals. The area you want treated is examined, and you hear which options fit, what each can and cannot do, the risks, the recovery and the cost. Photos are usually taken for your chart, and you sign a consent form only if you decide to go ahead. What to expect at your first consultation.
Who will treat me at Derm Clinic MD?
Dr. Arshia Payman, MD, a board-certified physician with 13+ years in aesthetic medicine, is the only provider at Derm Clinic MD and personally treats every patient, at both offices. She completed her internal medicine residency at George Washington University in 2008 and taught at Emory University. About Dr. Payman.
Which office should I visit, and when are you open?
Whichever is closer. The Buckhead office is at 3833 Roswell Rd NE, Tuxedo Atrium, Suite 108, Atlanta, GA 30342 (404-937-3760). The Cumming office is at 425 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 345, Cumming, GA 30041 (404-937-3447). Both are open Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Do you offer Botox and lip filler in Cumming?
Yes. Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, lip filler and other dermal fillers are offered at the Cumming office, 425 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 345, Cumming, GA 30041 (404-937-3447), as well as in Buckhead. Every treatment starts with an in-person consultation. Botox in Cumming or lip filler in Cumming.
Do you check moles, rashes or skin cancer concerns?
No. Derm Clinic MD focuses on cosmetic and aesthetic treatment. For a skin check, a changing mole, a rash or another skin condition, see a dermatologist, a physician who diagnoses and treats skin, hair and nail disease (American Academy of Dermatology). If you are not sure which you need, call either office and ask.
